The model-by-model schedule that is widely quoted, from the Note 50 to the Zero Flip, comes from media reports. Infinix Phones Getting the XOS 16 Update

There is no official list on the Infinix website yet. The schedule below was reported by Gizbot (February 18, 2026) and tech-ish (April 12, 2026). Both say Infinix shared the schedule, and tech-ish says it came through the official XOS social media account, but neither links to the original post.

Data status: reported by media and attributed to the official XOS channel. We have not found it on the official Infinix website.

A period that has passed does not automatically mean the update has reached your phone. Gizbot notes that the schedule is an estimate and can vary by region, variant, and development progress. We also have not found official confirmation that the rollout for any specific model has started in Indonesia.

Infinix phones not on the list

The Hot 50 and Smart 10 series and the XPad 20 tablet are not listed. According to tech-ish, none of the three will get XOS 16, while the Hot 50 series will keep receiving security patches until the end of 2026. This claim comes from a single outlet, and we have not found it in an official Infinix source. If your phone is not on the list, check its update menu before drawing a conclusion.

Infinix Phones That Have Shipped With XOS 16 Since Launch

According to Infinix, its new phones ship with XOS 16 from the start, so their owners do not need to wait for an upgrade. The Infinix NOTE Edge was introduced with XOS 16 in early 2026, according to Infinix Nigeria press material published by Techpoint Africa (February 2, 2026).

For the Indonesian market, media have reported:

  • Infinix Note 60 and Note 60 Pro, with pre-orders starting February 19, 2026, run Android 16 with XOS 16 (Bisnis.com).
  • Infinix Hot 70, launched May 25, 2026, also runs Android 16 with XOS 16 (Fortune IDN).

Confirm the version on your phone under Settings > About phone.

Official vs. Unofficial: How to Read Infinix Update Info

Infinix update information is scattered across social media, news sites, and fan groups, and not all of it is equally reliable. The safest guide is what is written on Infinix's official website or accounts, followed by what shows up in your own phone's update menu.

How to Check for and Install XOS 16 on an Infinix Phone

The XOS 16 update is delivered over the air (OTA) to eligible phones. The official Infinix FAQ says a phone can be updated once the new system has been released for that model. Updates are done from Settings > About phone > System update.

  1. Check your current version: open Settings > About phone, then look at the XOS version and Android version.
  2. Back up important data to a cloud account or a computer, especially photos, contacts, and chats.
  3. Charge the battery and connect to stable Wi-Fi.
  4. Open the system update menu. In the Infinix FAQ, the path is Settings > About phone > System update. Labels in the newest XOS version may differ.
  5. Tap check for updates. If XOS 16 is available, download and install it, and do not turn the phone off until it finishes.

If the menu says your phone is up to date, the update is not yet available for your model or region. Google also notes that update schedules differ by device, manufacturer, and carrier.

What to Prepare Before Updating

The essentials are a backup, enough battery, stable Wi-Fi, and plenty of free storage. Do not install system files from outside the official channel.

  • Storage space: free up space before downloading. Update file size differs by model.
  • Avoid firmware files from unofficial sites. The Infinix FAQ says Infinix does not provide software packages for users to download themselves. Manual updates are done at official Carlcare service centers. Files from other sites cannot be guaranteed to match your model or to be free of modifications.
  • Set aside time. Do not start an update when you need the phone, for example right before a trip.

Why This Matters

Infinix update information is among the most confusing. During our research, we found several sites with XOS 16 lists that contradict each other, which makes it hard for owners to know whether their phone is actually included. System updates also bring Android security patches, which matter if the phone is used for banking and digital wallet apps.

What to Do Now

  1. Check whether your phone is on the schedule and note its wave.
  2. Open the system update menu to see whether XOS 16 is already available.
  3. Back up your data now, so you are ready when the update appears.
  4. Zero series owners: watch the update menu throughout October–December 2026, in line with the reported schedule.

What to Watch

  • An official list from Infinix. If Infinix publishes a list on its official website, this page will follow it.
  • The Zero series rollout in Q4 2026.
  • XOS 17 and Android 17. Infinix has not announced them. For the status of Android 17 on other brands, see our guide to phones getting the Android 17 update.
