  • The most reliable way to learn what update your phone gets is the update menu on the phone itself and the brand's official page. This page summarizes both.

This page is the Android phone update hub on Myceisonline. It covers the latest version status for the brands popular in Indonesia, the official places to check for updates, the update support the manufacturers have pledged, and how to install updates safely. Every status comes from an official announcement. Information from media reports is labeled as such, and rumors are left out. The page is updated whenever there is a new announcement.

Samsung's pledge comes from the official Galaxy S26 document and is counted from the global launch. Samsung notes that timing can differ by model, carrier and market. For other brands, update pledges are usually announced per model at launch. Check your phone's product page.

Two name changes are worth noting. vivo has used OriginOS for international markets since OriginOS 6, replacing Funtouch OS. Starting with Android 17, realme is moving to ColorOS 17 instead of realme UI 8.

How to Check for and Install Updates Safely

The steps are the same on almost every brand: check your version, back up, then open the update menu. According to Google's Android Help, update schedules differ by device, manufacturer and carrier, and menu names can differ too.

  1. Check your Android version: Settings > About phone > Android version. The security update date is shown there as well.
  2. Back up your data to a cloud account or a computer.
  3. Charge the battery and connect to Wi-Fi.
  4. Open the update menu:
    • Standard Android and Pixel: Settings > System > Software update.
    • Samsung: Settings > Software update > Download and install.
    • Infinix, according to its official FAQ: Settings > About phone > System update.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and do not turn off the phone during installation.

Do not install firmware files from unofficial sites. The Infinix FAQ, for example, states that Infinix does not provide software packages for users to download. Manual updates are done at an official service center.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know whether my phone can get an update?

Open the update menu in your phone's Settings, then check your brand's official list in the table above. If the menu says your phone is up to date, the update is not yet available for your model or region.

What is the latest Android version right now?

Android 17, released by Google on June 16, 2026. Brands other than Google deliver it through new versions of their own interfaces, such as One UI 9, ColorOS 17, OriginOS 7 and HyperOS 4.

Why do phones from other brands get new Android versions more slowly?

Other brands have to adapt Android to their own interface and hardware, then roll it out in stages by model and region. That is why their schedules differ from Pixel's.

Are Android phone updates free?

Yes. Official system updates are delivered through the update menu at no cost. What you need to prepare is mobile data or Wi-Fi, storage space and enough battery.
