Global Sevilla School International: A Brief History

Global Sevilla School was founded by Sudhamek AWS, an entrepreneur and the owner of the food and beverage company Garuda Food. The international-standard school opened in October 2002 in the Pulo Mas area of East Jakarta, where it is known as Global Sevilla Pulo Mas. Two years later, the school expanded with a new building at a different location, in the Puri Indah area of West Jakarta, known as the Global Sevilla School Puri Indah Campus.

The founder built the second campus with a specific purpose: to deliver on a commitment to provide education in an enjoyable environment and to build character in the next generation. That is why the school became known as one of the schools in Indonesia with a character-based education system.

Partnership with GSF

Beyond this history, the school was originally called Sevilla International School. After it partnered with GSF, or Global School Foundation, one of the largest education foundations in the world, it began operating under its new name, Global Sevilla School.

As an international-standard school that works with the world's largest education foundation, it has become known for a range of strengths, particularly in academics and character. This shows in the school's priorities, which are not limited to academic education but also take students' character into account. For that reason, the two kinds of education the school offers are seen as complementing each other.

The character education it applies has also caught the public's attention, especially in this age of globalization, when parents are more selective about choosing the best education for their sons and daughters. Besides achieving better academic results, students at the school can also develop their character and grow into a generation that stands out from others.
