  • How do I purchase a course or access the exams?
    To purchase a course click the “Buy Now” button next to the course you which to purchase and take the exam for. All books are available for you to view at anytime. Use the material in the book to pass the exam. Once you receive the password for the exam you may take it anytime and as many times as you want until you pass the exam. Passwords for the exam are on the receipt of your purchase. The receipt will appear once you make a purchase and will also be emailed to you. Make sure to check your bulk and SPAM mail. Exam passwords do not expire. Please write your password down for each exam purchased. Once we receive both payment and the passed exam only then will the state be notified and your certificate of completion is sent.
  • How do I receive my certificates?
    If you see a Certificate link available on your state home page under the Rules and Regulations link to the left, you are able to view and print your certificates at your convenience. If no link is available then your certificates will be mailed to you. The course must be paid for and the exam must be passed before a certificate is available to view or print.
  • When will the state be notified?
    Where applicable, the state will be notified within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). Please note, the state will receive the date both the exam and payment were received. For example, if you paid for the exam and passed the exam on Friday November 10th, that is the date the state will receive. We may notify them on Monday November 13th, but they will be notified that you completed your CE on November 10th. Please contact us with any questions.
  • Can I pay for more than one course at a time?
    Yes, you may pay for as many courses as you want at a time. We recommend paying for all of your required hours at once to receive all of your exam passwords.
  • What is the process for ordering courses?
    All of our books are open for you to review at all times. When you are ready to attempt an exam, purchase the course. Your exam will be graded instantly. If you pass, you are all done.
  • What is Insurance Self-Study Continuing Education (CE)?
    Self-study Continuing Education courses are correspondence programs completed either online or by paper. Since no specific classroom time is required, you must pass a multiple choice exam to assure your state agency that sufficient training time was spent and proficiency was attained.
  • Are you approved in my state?
    If you click on the state and see a list of courses, we are approved. If it is still under construction please check back soon as our site is being constantly updated.
  • For what license types do you offer CE courses?
    MyCEisOnline.com offers courses for Life/Health and Property/Casualty license types.
  • Is my personal information safe and secure?
    Yes. We do not share your information with anyone. We’ve also installed an extra security certificate on the site.
  • How do I know which courses to choose?
    To help you select your courses, click on the ‘State Requirements’ link which is to the left of each state homepage. The State Requirements will also tell you your state’s rules on repeating courses. Courses approved for special state requirements are specifically noted next to each course title in the course catalog for that state (i.e. Ethics, Law, Annuities, LTC, etc.).
  • How many credits are awarded for each course?
    The number of hours for each course will vary by state. Credit hours will be listed in the column to the right of the course title.
  • Can I repeat a course?
    Each state has different rules regarding course repetition. Information on your state’s ruling can be found on the state requirements page which can be found on every state’s homepage.
  • What are my payment options?
    We accept all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
  • How do I receive a receipt?
    You will receive once you purchase the course(s) and you will also be emailed a receipt. Make sure to check bulk and SPAM mail.
  • What is your refund policy?
    If you are not completely satisfied with your order, call us at 866-941-6650 for an exchange or credit.

  • What are State Filing Fees?
    State Filing Fees (Sometimes called Roster Fees) are additional charges levied by some states to process continuing education credits. MyCEisOnline.com is required by these states to collect the filing fees from you and remit them to your state. If applicable, you will see these fees added to your total invoice as shipping and handling charges.
  • Will the course material be e-mailed to me?
    No. Online course material will be accessed through the Internet by selecting the course link. All books are available under the table of contents page.
  • Can I print my online course material?
    Since our courses are in html format, you can print all of the textbooks. You can also review the material from any web device such as a phone or ipod.
  • How do I know if my exam needs to be monitored?
    If your state requires an exam monitor, details will be listed at in the state requirement page. The monitoring requirements vary by state as well as by course delivery in some states.
  • What is a passing score?
    All courses being taken for Insurance CE credit must be completed with a passing score of at least a 70%.
  • Are the exams timed?
    No. There is no time limit to complete an exam.
  • What happens if I do not pass my exam?
    Simply go back to the exam and re-take it as many times as possible, until you are notified you have successfully passed the exam.
  • How many questions are on the exam?
    Exams contain 25-50 questions. The length of exams will vary by state and credit hours awarded.
  • How do I get access to my online exam?
    Purchase the course and you will receive the password for the course(s) you purchased. The receipt will contain the password for the exam.
  • Can I print the test?
    Openbook State exams can be printed for studying purposes, however Monitored States require a monitor to take the exam and cannot be printed in advance. All exams must be completed online.
  • How long does it take to get certificates of completion?
    In most cases, certificates of completion are mailed within 2 business days after online exam completion and payment is received.
  • Do I need to download special software to use MyCEisOnline.com courses?
    No. Our courses do not require any special software and can be viewed from any internet ready device i.e. phone or ipod
  • How do I find out how many credit hours I need?
    We offer state requirements for each state. Go to the “State Requirements” link listed on each state homepage. If you have a question, we will look up the information for you, call us: 866-941-6650
  • How do I find my license number and renewal date?
    Your license number should be located on the information received from your state. In some states, the license number is also your social security number. If you do not have a renewal date, use your CE compliance date.
  • Why do I have to take an exam?
    Because an agent taking correspondence continuing education courses does not have specific classroom time required on those hours, the agent must pass a multiple-choice exam. This exam allows the state to see that an agent has completed the training and is proficient in the course material.
