Hours
  • Agents must complete 24 hours every 2 years.
Requirements
  • Agents who sell Flood insurance, must complete a one time 3 hour FEMA course. You will receive 15 ce credits and satisfy the 3 hours FEMA requirement by completing our National Flood Course.
  • All producers (resident and non-resident) licensed in PA that sell, solicit or negotiate long term care insurance MUST complete the 1 hour "Pennsylvania Medicaid Long Term Care Services" course BEFORE they can market Long Term Care service. By completing CEIS's Pennsylvania Long Term Care Insurance Partnership Program you will satisfy the Pennsylvania 1 hour requirement and also receive 3 hours of continuing education.
Compliance Date
  • Agents must complete their continuing education requirements 60 days prior to license renewal, which is the last day of the license issuance month.
Excess Hours
  • A maximum of 24 hours may be carried over to the next compliance period.
Course Repetition
  • Courses may not be taken more than once in a 2 year period.

Course Presentation

  • Continuing Education courses may be either self-study or classroom.
Examination
  • If the course taken is self-study the Agent must pass a monitored examination. The monitor must be a disinterested third party; someone without employment or family relationship to the Agent.
  • If the course taken is a classroom course there is no examination.
