- License Renewals -the conversion process started in Sircon as of 2007. As Producers are renewing their licenses, they are converted to the Birth Month Renewal. Producers not converted, have a 1st of the Month Renewal Date every 2 years.
- New Agents must complete 24 hours of Continuing Education credit every two years and 3 hours in Ethics.

- Long Term Care Insurance Requirements:
Any Producer who sells, solicits, or negotiates Long Term Care Insurance under Idaho’s Long Term Care Insurance Partnership Program must complete an initial one time eight-hour training course (specific to Idaho’s rules.) by November 1, 2007. Producers are also required to complete ongoing long-term care Insurance training of no less than four-hours every 24 months. Producers may continue selling Long Term Care Insurance, including qualifying Partnership Policies, until that date. It will be a violation of Idaho law to sell, solicit or negotiate a long-term care insurance policy without having completed the initial training. Producers are required to obtain verification of training from your insurance company after completing the Partnership course.
- Flood Insurance Requirements:
All insurance producer licensed in Property & Casualty, must complete a one-time course related to the NFIP for 3 credit hours.
- Resident Public Adjusters Requirements:
Are the only Adjusters required to complete 24 credit hours and 3 credit hours in Ethics by the end of the Adjuster’s birth month every 2 years.
- Exempt from CE:
Limited lines producers, adjusters, and agents on inactive Status is exempt from the CE requirement. Nonresidents will be considered in compliance if they have satisfied the CE requirement in their home state.

- Licenses renew every 2 years (see note at the top page.)

- There are no carryover hours.

- Courses may not be repeated within a renewal period but may be repeated in subsequent renewal periods.

- Continuing education maybe either Self Study or Classroom.
|
- Self Study requires an open book examination. Classroom requires attendance.
|
- State of Idaho requires numbers for License Numbers (effective since September 18, 2007. They no longer begin with letters and leading zeros have been dropped. (i.e., license AL 12345 is now 12345)
State Fee of $1.00 per credit hour to submit completed credits to Sircon. |
